Hi, I'm Ashley

I started Wayfinder Travel Co. out of a personal love of travel, and the desire to help others accomplish their travel goals without the headache of booking through third-party booking engines that may not always refund you when things go sideways. Like many others, I have been down that road before, and it can be not only costly, but downright scary and discouraging. My goal is to remove the stress and headache of it all, and to make your itinerary as smooth as possible, from planning to arriving safely back home. With Wayfinder Travel Co, you will be supported every step of the way. 

I am in my early 30's and have lived a pretty exciting life so far! I have always been attracted to adventure in one way or another. From endurance racing with Egyptian Arabian horses through the foothills of Alberta to volunteer firefighting in my local community, I am always searching for experiences that have an adventurous nature. These experiences have been so rewarding, and have shaped me as a person, but I still had that underlying wanderlust. I had to get out and see more, do more, and learn more. 

Travel was the answer.

You don't know what you're missing out on, until you take that first successful trip. 

I booked my first all-inclusive trip with my now fiancée, to Puerto Vallarta shortly after I graduated from high school. We went in September, during Mexico's rainy season. It was perfect for us, as it was warm during the day, and had thunder showers almost every night to cool us down. The rainy weather made for an amazing experience when we decided to try zip-lining for the first time! We zipped through the picturesque Sierra Madre mountains, and rappelled down overflowing waterfalls in the lush green jungle. It was from this point on, that I was hooked on travel.

Since then, we have been back to Mexico a handful of times and we have also enjoyed Caribbean cruises, as well as my personal favorite- camping in Hawai'i. Our most recent adventure took us to Mount Kilauea on the Island of Hawai'i, where we camped in a converted sprinter van on the side of an actively erupting volcano! These are some truly magical, once in a lifetime moments.
